VPMKS / User guide

Troubleshooting

Check the subscription, permissions, network and logs in order.

A subscription will not import

  1. Check that you pasted the complete HTTPS link from your provider, with no extra characters. Do not enter it in a website search box.
  2. Check internet access and try importing again. If the camera is unavailable, paste the link manually.
  3. If the message mentions expiry, a device limit or a provider refusal, contact the provider. VPMKS cannot change those limits.
  4. If a previously working full JSON configuration is temporarily unavailable, keep the existing card and try refreshing later.

Connected, but websites will not load

  1. Tap Check connection and note the result.
  2. Disconnect the VPN and check the network itself. Public Wi-Fi may require a sign-in page.
  3. Connect to another server in the same subscription. If only one location fails, contact the provider.
  4. If you changed IP, Mux or fragmentation settings, restore automatic selection and turn off your overrides, then reconnect.

The VPN disconnects or shows an error

Record the time, selected server and action before the error. Note any Wi-Fi/mobile transition, airplane mode, screen lock or heavy download. Save VPN diagnostics soon after the event.

The VPN extension on iPhone has a memory budget, but an Error label alone does not identify the cause. No limit is not a universal fix: iOS restrictions still apply.

Do not delete the app to reset an error before saving diagnostics and your subscription link. Disconnecting and reconnecting is often sufficient.

Camera, local network and links

  • Camera access is used for QR scanning. Enable it in the app’s system settings, or use manual import without camera access.
  • Local Network access is needed for TV pairing and related network features. On iPhone, check it in system privacy settings or VPMKS app settings.
  • If an email link does not open a mail app, copy the address from the offered dialog and use your preferred email service.

A description, usage or date is missing

Check the Server description toggle and refresh the subscription. Other information must be supplied by the provider. A missing field does not mean zero usage, unlimited service or an app failure.
