Connect Android TV
Send a subscription from your phone using a QR code on your home network.
What you need
This feature is for Android TV and Google TV running a compatible VPMKS build. It does not cover Samsung Tizen, LG webOS or Apple TV.
Connect your phone by Wi-Fi and the TV by Wi-Fi or Ethernet to the same home router. Pairing needs an IPv4 local network. Guest networks that isolate devices and separate networks will not work.
Add a provider subscription on your phone first. This method does not transfer individual local keys from Other servers.
Send in a few steps
- Open VPMKS on the TV and choose Add from phone. A temporary QR code appears.
- On your phone, open Add subscription → Connect TV and scan the code on the TV screen.
- Choose the provider and tap Send to TV. On iPhone, allow Local Network access if the system asks.
- Wait for confirmation. Success is shown after the TV has downloaded and saved the subscription.
- Choose a server on the TV with the remote’s arrows and confirm with OK. Then connect.
What is transferred
The phone sends the original selected subscription link, encrypted, over the local network. No VPMKS relay server is used. The QR code does not contain the subscription link, but it grants temporary permission to send; keep it private.
The TV contacts the provider using its own HWID. Your phone’s settings and device ID are not copied. The provider may count the TV as a separate device and apply its device limit.
Expired codes and cancellation
A QR code is valid for five minutes. If it expires, choose New QR code on the TV and scan it again. Keep the phone app open until the transfer finishes; sending is cancelled when it goes into the background.
After cancellation, a timeout or a lost connection, check the TV’s subscription list first: it may already have saved the subscription. Missing confirmation on the phone does not mean nothing was added.
If the TV cannot be reached
- Check that both devices are on the same regular home network and the router allows them to communicate.
- On iPhone, check VPMKS camera and Local Network permissions in system settings.
- If transfer fails while the VPN is running, try again with the VPN temporarily disconnected. Behaviour depends on your home network and TV firmware; not every device combination has been tested.
